The lottery’s leftover-prize list. Not what’s in one store. Some lotteries post daily, some weekly. We keep scanning for the next official update.

What the Heat number means

Heat is Scratch Vault’s leftover mix on that desk at that price, plus a small leftover-pace bump — not a chance of winning and not store inventory. Hot / Warm / Cold compare leftover mix against other loaded $5–$50 games on this desk at this price, then leftover-prize pace (how fast listed $50+ prize rows are being claimed). Skip stays Skip. Printed odds never change.

From leftover prizes back to the games list

On $5, $10, $20, $25, $30, and $50 cards, Scratch Vault reads two official leftover lists. The decay signal is leftover prize amounts of $50 or more on those same games — not “only $50 tickets.” When a prize is claimed, that leftover count drops. That pace ranks which games to look at and which to walk past. Printed odds never change.

  1. 01

    Last official list

On each $5–$50 game, add leftover prize rows of $50 or more that both official lists still share. A prize row missing from the live table is ignored — it is not treated as used.

  2. 02

    Prizes get claimed

When someone cashes a listed prize, the next official list is smaller. That drop is claims, not tickets sold, and not what is sitting in one drawer.

  3. 03

    Remaining games get a Heat

The drop is scaled to a 16-day window: Still, Quiet, Moving, or Fast. That pace adds a small leftover-pace bump after leftover mix is compared on that desk at that price. Hot / Warm / Cold follow the combined number. Skip stays Skip.

How Heat is scored

Scratch Vault is the leftover-prize desk for $5, $10, $20, $25, $30, and $50 cards. Hot / Warm / Cold compare leftover mix on that desk at that price, then a small leftover-pace bump. That is aisle context. It is not store inventory and not a chance of winning. Printed odds never change.

  1. Leftover mix (Vault): Hot / Warm / Cold compare leftover mix on that desk at that price — listed top / mid / cash, re-scaled against other loaded $5–$50 games. Same recipe on all 12 public desks. Hot ≥62, Warm ≥42, Cold below. Skip when the retail top is gone or the mid-tier is drained.
  2. Leftover pace (every $5–$50 ticket): overlap leftover prize rows of $50 or more on two official snapshots. That $50 floor is the prize amount, not the ticket price. Missing live tiers are ignored (not decay). Drop is scaled to a 16-day window. Still ≤0.5% · Quiet 0.5–3% · Moving 3–8% · Fast ≥8%.
  3. Heat number = that leftover mix + a small leftover-pace bump. Fast +10 (or −6 if no retail top). Moving +6. Quiet 0. Still −3. Hot / Warm / Cold use that combined Heat. Skip stays Skip.

Why this desk: most leftover lists only show what is still posted. Scratch Vault also shows which of those leftover books are moving. Use it to choose which games to look at and which to walk past. Printed odds never change. 18+ (Iowa tickets 21+).
